My reason for being is to love, and my way to love is to exhort and encourage. I choose to do much of that through writing. The aim of everything I write is to offer life-giving messages, drawing the reader to a point of personal encouragement and inspiration.
I believe I’m at the ‘father’ stage of my life. 1 John 2:12 – 14 says,
“I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one.” (NKJV, Thomas Nelson Publ,1982)
My reason for writing this blog is to engage with people who, in seeking God and His righteousness, experience their road to victory as a mixture of blessings and challenges.
I will share my reflections based on personal experiences and insights gathered from my observations of the world around me. I do this sharing, so that others will see the signposts when in difficulty and will have the insight to carry on through the troubled waters to safety.
First: Sarah Tun, author and founder of Larus Press.
Under the banner of LARUS PRESS I write for moms and sometimes for their kids. My main motivation in writing for children is to keep innocence and creativity alive, to write children’s fiction which is ‘light’ in response to the plethora of ‘dark’ material available. I also write personal growth – to encourage us all to be all that the LORD formed us, saved us to be. My first book FREE TO BE draws us out of low self esteem to build confidence through deeper understanding of scripture and our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Time spent with HIM is time well spent. The book hinges on scripture but two that ‘jump out’ are: ‘Not by might, nor by power but they my Spirit says the LORD of hosts.’ Zechariah 4:6 and ‘Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him.’ Psalm 37:7
I’m a wife, mom and step mom. I lead kids’ worship in my local church. My ‘call’ in life is ‘Watchman’… Nehemiah had watchmen on the lookout as he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. A watchman is one who is gifted to see dangers and is called to alert others of those dangers. See Ezekiel 3:17-21
The common thread to my writing is to offer life-giving messages. You can investigate more:
